2016年10月18日，由四川美术学院主办、 四川美术学院新媒体艺术系承办的“跨越本体——国际实验动画论坛暨展览”在四川美术学院虎溪校区开幕，来自世界多个国家的当代艺术家、策展人和评论家以及媒体出席了论坛及展览开幕式，并在未来几天将开展论坛、讲座、展览、放映、工作坊等多个相关艺术活动。论坛现场由四川美术学院党委副书记左益、研究生处处长苏永刚、新媒体艺术系主任李川、新媒体艺术系书记聂玉红等与会指导。

本次展览集中展出了来自世界各地艺术家的50余件实验动画作品。艺术家运用不同的媒介来呈现自己作品的观念表达，现场有雕塑、装置、影像、行为等多种艺术表达方式，加上声光电等多种跨媒介材料的运用让现场的观众有了更多的互动。
The exhibition on display the artists from around the world in more than 50 pieces of experimental animation works。 Artists use different media to present the idea of his works to express， the scene have sculpture， installations， video， behavior and so on the many kinds of artistic expression， coupled with sound and light， and other multimedia material apply make the audience have more interactive。
2016年10月19日下午4点30分，国际实验动画展正式开幕，由艺术家鲁婷婷主持。出席开幕的领导有艺术家潘召南（四川美术学院科研处处长）、艺术家李川（新媒体艺术系主任）。

四川美术学院新媒体艺术系主任李川接受采访时谈到了本次活动举办的意义以及新媒体系的定位及教学的相关问题，让大家认识到除了传统的商业动画，还有一些艺术家在探索动画新的语言的可能性。Sichuan academy of fine arts of the new media art department leader li in an interview about the meaning of the event held， as well as the positioning of the new media department and teaching related issues， to let you know in addition to the traditional commercial animation， there are some artists to explore animation the possibility of a new language。
策展人鲁婷婷在接受记者采访时介绍了本次论坛的主题以及对于实验动画概念和发展情况：实验动画是以方法论为基础来划定分类的，我们应该从外部历史不断侵入动画本体的碰撞中找到一个契合点来进行诠释。像奥拉维尔•埃利亚松、威廉·肯特里奇他们已经做了一些改变观看方式的动画，动画作为本体的存在并不是一个固定的形式。中国的实验动画在国际上是一种他者的身份，具有明显的东方气韵和情境在里面。希望本次论坛能够提出一些问题，与大家共同探讨解决方法。Curators ting-ting lu in an interview with reporters are introduced as well as the theme of this forum for experimental animation concepts and developments： experimental animation is based on the methodology to delimit the classification， we should from the external history into the find a collision point of animation ontology for interpretation。 As olafur elea pine， William Ken partridge， they have made some change the way of watching animation， animation as the existence of the ontology is not a fixed form。 China‘s experimental animation internationally is a kind of otherness， has obvious Oriental artistically and situation in it。 Hope this forum will put forward some problems， discuss the solution with everybody together。

本次论坛嘉宾 Yves Nougarède 先生（法国昂西国际动画节选片人及评委）带来了5部动画片展映，这些作品从艺术家的真正生活出发来阐述实验动画的意义，并对中国艺术家的作品水平给予了很大的肯定。This BBS guest Yves Nougarede Mr （France， west international animation from people and judges） brought five movies shown， these works from the real life of the artists to illustrate the significance of experimental animation， and the level of Chinese artist‘s work to give a lot of affirmation。
Gerben Schermer
Gerben Schermer先生（荷兰动画节主席）认为中国的实验动画没有太多条条框框的限制，中国的艺术家也更独立，这会让艺术家有更多可能性来打破动画的界限。Chairman Mr Gerben Schermer （Holland animation festival） think the experimental animation in China without the restrictions of too many rules， Chinese artists are more independent， it will make more likely to break the boundaries of animation artists。

参展艺术家Birgitta Hosea博士（英国皇家艺术学院动画系主任、原圣马丁艺术学院动画系主任）和Sheila M。 Sofian（美国南加大动画终生教授）认为本次论坛真正的把艺术与动画结合起来，并对中国的动画尤其是在动画边界的探索研究有了新的认识。
The artists Birgitta Dr Hosea （royal college of art of the animation department， the original saint Martin college of art of the animation department） and Sheila m。 designer Sofian （south of the United States increase animation lifelong professor） think this forum real combine art and animation， and especially in China‘s animation animation boundary exploration research a new understanding。

本次论坛和展览注重学术交流和对话，于新媒体艺术中心展出，持续至11月1日结束，由四川美术学院新媒体艺术系全体教职工协作举办。活动和展览都免费对观众开放。
